Walton Heating & Cooling

We are Walton Geothermal Heating & Cooling, founded in 1997 by Mike Walton and based at 4085 East Valley Road in Mount Pleasant, Michigan. Our background combines formal education with trade experience. Mike holds a master’s degree in Industrial Management and Technology from Central Michigan University and a bachelor’s degree in HVACR Engineering Technology from Ferris State University, including certification in geothermal systems. He holds mechanical, master plumber, and boiler contractor licenses and has 20 years of HVACR experience, including the installation and servicing of heat pumps. He is also a Certified Energy Manager.

We work directly with our customers to design HVAC systems for comfort and efficiency. Our process includes sizing and selecting equipment for forced-air systems and in-floor radiant heating. We service all brands of furnaces, steam boilers, hot-water boilers, air-to-air heat pumps, and fireplaces. We also provide new installations and custom sheet-metal work. For cooling needs, we service air-conditioning systems, mini-splits, rooftop units, and through-the-wall systems.

Geothermal work is one of our specialties. We are a WaterFurnace Geothermal Master Dealer, and our staff is factory trained in geothermal installation and repair. Our additional services include replacing electrical services, installing whole-house generators, replacing lighting fixtures, and working with fire, smoke, and carbon monoxide detection. We also provide drain cleaning, plumbing fixture replacement, and piping services. Our water-conditioning work includes iron and sulfur removal and reverse-osmosis systems. From our Mount Pleasant location, we bring our HVAC, geothermal, electrical, and plumbing capabilities together to address a range of household system needs.
