Viking Mechanical

We’re a family-run and operated HVAC team serving residential and commercial customers from our location on Carter Drive in Rapid City. We were established in 2002 and operate as a division of Smart Systems and Services Inc., presently owned by Randy and Dawn Smart, Kassandra McDuff, and Lee Smart. Randy brings more than 40 years of experience in commercial HVAC and controls, residential HVAC installation, and new construction. Our steady growth reflects the importance we place on customer service and doing the best job possible each time we’re hired.

We specialize in installing and servicing heating, air-conditioning, and complete HVAC systems for residential and commercial applications. We work on all types of residential and commercial HVAC equipment, and we service what we sell. We service all brands of boilers and furnaces, and we offer variable-speed air-conditioning, heat-pump, and air-handler units. Our range of comfort and energy solutions also includes high-efficiency furnaces and geothermal systems. With a full sheet-metal fabrication shop, we can support a variety of HVAC installation and service needs. We focus on helping each customer identify an efficient, reliable, and quiet-operating solution suited to their needs and budget.

Our customers are our first priority, and we aim to build ongoing relationships so they have a reliable contact when heating or cooling needs arise. Our small team of experienced, insured service technicians focuses on indoor air quality, customer satisfaction, and practical solutions for year-round comfort. Whether we’re working in a home or a commercial property, our goal is to become our customers’ first choice for air-conditioning and heating solutions.
