Total Heating & Cooling Inc.

We founded Total Heating & Cooling Inc. in 1986 on a simple principle: our clients should be treated as people, not as jobs. From our location in Halifax, Pennsylvania, we serve residential and commercial clients throughout Central Pennsylvania with honest, professional heating, cooling, and geothermal services. We are licensed and insured, and our trained, certified technicians take pride in listening carefully, explaining the available options, and developing solutions around each property’s specific needs.

We repair, install, replace, and maintain conventional HVAC systems, including air-conditioning, heating, and furnace systems. We also provide HVAC design-and-build consultation for homes, businesses, and other commercial facilities. Because every building and operation is different, we focus on practical, cost-effective solutions rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach. Existing customers can also reach us for 24/7 emergency service.

We have installed residential geothermal systems since 1990 and provide complete geothermal evaluations, design, construction, installation, maintenance, and repair. Our process begins with a thorough assessment of the property and its energy needs. We then design a system suited to the available resources, whether that calls for a horizontal or vertical closed-loop heat exchanger, an open-loop “pump and dump” system, or a pond heat exchanger. Clients work directly with us, without a middleman, throughout the process.

We stand behind our work with a one-year, 100% satisfaction guarantee covering the work we perform and new equipment we install. Installed equipment also includes a manufacturer’s warranty of at least one year and, depending on the equipment, up to 10 years. Our goal is to earn lasting trust by doing the work properly, providing clear guidance, and delivering dependable HVAC and geothermal solutions at affordable rates.
