T. N. Bowes Heating & Air Conditioning, Inc.

We are a family-owned heating and air conditioning team serving Leonardtown and communities throughout Southern Maryland. Since 1988, we have built our reputation through highly trained technicians, quality products, courteous service, and competitive pricing. Our goal is simple: to help our customers stay comfortable throughout the year and maintain cleaner, healthier indoor air.

We provide residential and light commercial HVAC installation, repair, replacement, and preventive maintenance. Our services cover air conditioning and heating systems, new-construction HVAC installations, thermostats, and safety controls. We repair and service all models of HVAC equipment, and our two maintenance plans provide different levels of protection based on each customer’s needs. For new and replacement systems, we select equipment with proven performance, energy efficiency, and durability in mind.

We also approach indoor air quality as part of the complete heating and cooling system. Rather than guessing, we can check humidity, inspect ductwork for leaks or contamination, examine coils and blowers for biological growth, and evaluate whether the filtration matches the system’s airflow capacity. Those findings help us recommend options suited to the home, which may include improved filtration, UV treatment, ventilation, dehumidification, or duct sealing. When investigating comfort or humidity concerns, we consider airflow, refrigerant charge, equipment condition, and system sizing. During heating tune-ups, we inspect burners, check heat exchangers for cracks, test safety controls, and confirm proper airflow.

Our technicians are certified by North American Technician Excellence and have the skills to work on systems in existing homes, new construction, and light commercial properties. We offer free on-site consultations and financing subject to credit approval. Most importantly, we listen to our customers’ needs and concerns so we can recommend a practical solution for the property and the people who use it.
