Smith Heating and Cooling

Our story began in 1951, when Bill Smith started Smith Refrigeration after receiving refrigeration training during his military service. Bill was later joined by his brother, and together they primarily serviced refrigeration equipment for small dairies and grocery stores. As air conditioning became more widely available, our work gradually shifted from refrigeration toward heating and cooling. Carl Brendlinger purchased Smith in 1994, expanded into Columbia, and later changed our name to Smith Heating & Cooling to reflect our growing HVAC expertise. Today, we are proud to continue serving Moberly and the surrounding communities with the commitment to service and sales that Bill established.

We provide residential heating and air-conditioning products as well as commercial HVAC services, and we service all makes and models. Our complete selection of indoor-comfort equipment includes air conditioners, heat pumps, gas furnaces, programmable thermostats, humidifiers, ductless split systems, boilers, air cleaners, ultraviolet lights, ventilators, and zoning products. As licensed heating and air-conditioning contractors and specialists, we have the tools, equipment, and experience needed to help keep comfort systems running smoothly throughout the year.

Quality begins with knowledgeable people, so our installers and technicians receive regular, ongoing training. Our technicians have also passed the testing required to qualify as NATE Certified Technicians. When an urgent heating or cooling problem arises, we are available to assist with emergency service 24 hours a day, seven days a week. We also offer service agreements designed to help reduce unexpected service needs and keep comfort equipment operating at peak performance. Whether we are helping with a residential comfort system, servicing commercial HVAC equipment, or responding to an emergency, we remain committed to carrying forward the dependable service on which our history was built.
