Smart Energy Systems

We’re a family-owned HVAC contractor based in Bel Air, Maryland, serving local homeowners since 1988. For more than 35 years, we’ve helped families throughout Harford County stay comfortable with honest service, expert repairs, and heating and cooling systems tailored to their homes. Our owner still answers the phone and works alongside our team in the field, and our licensed, factory-trained technicians focus on finding the right solution without unnecessary sales pressure.

Our services include air conditioning, heating, heat pumps, custom ductwork, and ground-source heat pump systems. We repair and replace central air conditioners and heat pumps, perform routine maintenance, and troubleshoot problems ranging from minor performance issues to complete system failures. For heating needs, we provide repairs and customized solutions across Harford, Baltimore, and Cecil Counties, including same-day service in Bel Air and surrounding areas when availability allows. We also install, repair, and maintain heat pumps from all major brands, helping homeowners use one system for both heating and cooling.

For homeowners interested in ground-source heating and cooling, we provide complete system design and installation. Our team handles the process from loop-field design through system setup, with an emphasis on long-term efficiency and energy savings. We also troubleshoot loop-pressure problems and component failures and provide ongoing maintenance. These systems can be especially well suited to large or rural properties in communities such as Jarrettsville and Phoenix. For large or older homes, we offer in-house sheet-metal fabrication for custom duct systems, including homes in Phoenix, Jacksonville, Timonium, and nearby communities.

Bel Air is our home, too. We support local organizations and young people through efforts such as sponsoring 4-H programs and Bel Air High School sports. Whether we’re answering a service call, designing a new system, or maintaining existing equipment, we treat the people we serve as neighbors.
