We bring together the personal attention of a hometown propane supplier with the strength and resources of a larger energy organization. As a subsidiary of Chesapeake Utilities Corporation, we have provided reliable propane service on the Delmarva Peninsula for more than 40 years. Our history in Georgetown includes the acquisition of Clarence E. Sharp Company, a propane distributor called Sharpgas, Inc. and operating under the Sharp Energy name. That acquisition helped consolidate Chesapeake Utilities’ propane distribution operations.

Today, we serve approximately 90,000 residential and commercial propane customers through 26 service centers. Our operations reach customers in Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Florida. Multiple rail facilities, approximately nine million gallons of propane storage and a solid supply portfolio support our ability to provide dependable service. For homes, propane can be used for water heating and home heating, offering comfort and efficiency. We provide flexible delivery options, special pricing on temporary heat service and expertise in centralized propane systems.

Our AutoGas operations also supply propane for more than 1,300 vehicles. This use of propane displaces approximately 3.6 million gallons of gasoline and diesel fuel while significantly lowering carbon emissions.
