Rasmussen Mechanical Services

We began in 1970, when Erv and Agnes Rasmussen founded Rasmussen Heating and Cooling from their home in Council Bluffs, Iowa. What started with Erv as a single burner service technician grew over the decades into a family-owned mechanical services organization with multiple locations. As our capabilities expanded, Rasmussen Heating & Air Conditioning became Rasmussen Mechanical Services to better reflect the breadth of our work. Council Bluffs remains our hub, and our original focus continues to guide us: providing cost-effective solutions for our customers’ heating and cooling needs.

Today, we have ten specialized service departments and more than 200 skilled technicians serving commercial, industrial, and institutional clients throughout the central United States. Our work ranges from commercial rooftop units, HVAC service, and boiler repair to industrial equipment service and complex design-build projects. Our factory-trained heating and cooling professionals handle engineering and service work, including the replacement of capacitors, fan motors, compressors, and other system components. Through our Sheet Metal Division, skilled tradespeople provide design, prefabrication, and field installation services using tools and practices intended to meet or exceed Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning National Association technical standards.

We also help facilities improve performance through preventative, predictive, proactive, diagnostic, and scheduled maintenance. Our Reliability Services team uses performance testing, analysis, and current technology to identify inefficiencies and detect potential problems before they cause unplanned downtime. By focusing on uptime, operating efficiency, reliability, and equipment life, we develop practical solutions around each facility’s needs. Across Council Bluffs, Omaha, Denver, Sioux City, Rapid City, Gibbon, Lincoln, Sioux Falls, Grand Island, and surrounding areas, we remain committed to innovation, dependable service, expert knowledge, and a customer-first approach.
