We have been proudly owned and operated in Wyoming since 1978, when Powder River Heating & Air Conditioning was founded to provide dependable HVAC and plumbing service and installation. Based in Gillette, we are Northeastern Wyoming’s locally owned Carrier Dealer, serving Campbell, Crook, Weston, Johnson, and Sheridan counties as well as Southeast Montana. Our team averages 100 full-time employees, and our service department is the largest in Wyoming.

As a full mechanical contractor, we handle residential, commercial, and industrial plumbing, heating, cooling, ventilation, refrigeration, and sheet metal fabrication. Our experience spans remodels and new construction, from residential furnaces and traditional or tankless water heaters to multi-zone air handlers and multi-million BTU boilers. We have designed and installed mechanical systems for custom homes, offices, silos, truck shops, plant facilities, schools, hospitals, power plants, and mine locations. Our licensed mechanical engineers also provide in-house design-build services, including system analysis, load calculations, and customized designs for commercial and industrial spaces.

Our service team maintains and repairs building HVAC systems, boilers, hot-water heating systems, walk-in coolers, grocery-store refrigeration, ice machines, heat-reclaim systems, and haul-truck air conditioning. We also provide residential HVAC maintenance and repairs, new-system installation, plumbing services, and service contracts tailored to customer needs. For emergencies, our service department is on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week. We are licensed, bonded, and insured, stay current with applicable local and state codes and safety guidelines, and stand behind work that meets or exceeds customer specifications and industry standards.
