Northwest Refrigeration

At Northwest Refrigeration, operated by Vaughn Mechanical, Inc., we provide residential and commercial heating and cooling services with an emphasis on high-efficiency systems. Based in Tumwater, Washington, our company was established in 1987 by our founder and CEO, Vaughn Murphie. His experience in the design, sales, and service of refrigeration and heating systems began in 1977, and that background continues to shape the way we approach our work today.

Our philosophy is simple: we take care of our clients. That means listening to what each customer needs, recommending appropriate solutions, and never trying to sell equipment or services that are not necessary. We do not believe in cutting corners that could become costly or harmful later. Our technicians are experienced, EPA-certified, and factory-trained, and we hold ourselves to high standards in technical training, installation quality, business practices, and overall performance.

We design, install, service, and repair heating and cooling systems throughout the Pacific Northwest, and we also provide equipment sales and consultation. Our experience includes geothermal heating and cooling, as well as special residential and commercial applications that call for thoughtful engineering and careful implementation. Whether we are planning a new system, troubleshooting existing equipment, or helping a client understand the available options, we bring practical knowledge and a commitment to quality work.

Every new installation includes at least a one-year parts-and-labor warranty, and our service repairs are guaranteed for 30 days. Extended and manufacturer warranties, inspections, service subscriptions, flat-rate pricing, and quotes are also available. Above all, we aim to provide clear guidance, dependable workmanship, and heating and cooling solutions suited to the needs of each client.
