Metro Heating & Cooling

We’re a locally owned and operated heating and cooling team with roots in Des Moines dating back to 1984. Joe and Kelly Tollari founded Metro Heating & Cooling as a service and residential replacement operation, then expanded into new construction in 1988. When Joe retired in 2012, their son, also Joe, became president and continued the family commitment to attentive customer service and quality workmanship. Kelly remains involved in the office, handling our bookkeeping.

Today, we install HVAC systems for new construction and provide replacements, repairs, and maintenance for homes across Dallas, Madison, Polk, and Warren counties. Our services include furnaces, heat pumps, air conditioning, fireplaces, indoor air quality solutions, and geothermal heating installation and maintenance. We also offer 24/7 HVAC service and annual maintenance plans. Our sales consultants, service technicians, and new construction crews are trained and certified in their work, and we are fully licensed and insured. We’re also a BBB-accredited business and an American Standard partner.

We believe good service means more than answering the phone. It means listening, offering honest guidance, sharing useful information, and going the extra mile when our customers need help. Our approach is personal and pressure-free, with no gimmicks or hidden costs. When you’re choosing a new system, we take time to recommend the right type and capacity for your home rather than pushing unnecessary features or the cheapest available product. We focus on balancing quality, function, efficiency, and value so you can make an informed decision.

Whether we’re repairing a furnace, maintaining an air conditioner, improving indoor air quality, or discussing geothermal options, our goal is to help you enjoy dependable comfort at home. We value the community where we live and work, and we work every day to earn the trust of the people we serve.
