Mega Air, Inc

Since 1981, we have served homeowners on the Northshore and in New Orleans with air conditioning and heating services. From our location at 2200 Front Street in Slidell, we provide sales, service, repair, replacement, and preventive maintenance, along with refrigeration and ice machine service. Our experience covers residential and commercial systems from 1 ton to 50 tons, including air-source heat pumps, propane-converted furnaces, and geothermal water-source systems.

We look beyond the heating and air conditioning equipment and consider the whole house as a system. This approach helps us address comfort, indoor air quality, airflow, equipment sizing, and high utility bills while helping new high-efficiency equipment perform as close as possible to its laboratory rating. Homeowners, architects, and engineers have relied on us for everything from routine AC repair to complicated residential and commercial system designs. We are Bosch Accredited Contractors and install Bosch BOVA systems, including inverter-driven equipment that automatically changes speed to match a home’s heat load. Over the years, we have also been dealers for Lennox, Bryant, American Standard, WaterFurnace, and Amana.

We have installed hundreds of residential and commercial open- and closed-loop geothermal systems, including projects in Louisiana and Mississippi as far as Leesville. For closed-loop installations, we travel within 3.5 hours of New Orleans. Our turnkey geothermal work includes system design, well drilling, piping, pump-center installation, and in-house fuse welding of the high-density polyethylene pipe used in closed loops. We can design systems using vertical wells, lakes, or bayous, as well as geothermal systems that heat or cool a pool or provide hot water to a domestic water system while the air conditioning is running. In 1989, we built one of the first two-speed geothermal water-source systems in Slidell. Whether the need is repair, replacement, maintenance, or a custom geothermal design, we bring broad hands-on experience to every system we handle.
