About Magnolia Plumbing, Heating & Cooling

Our roots in Washington, DC, go back to 1950, and we incorporated in 1954. Now family owned and operated across four generations, we have spent 75 years serving residents and organizations in the Washington, DC area. Taylor Magnolia and Matthew Magnolia joined our team in 2019, continuing that fourth-generation tradition. Today, Magnolia Companies consists of Magnolia Plumbing, Inc. and Joseph J. Magnolia, Inc., with ownership held by John Magnolia, Chris Magnolia, Dominic Magnolia, and Tony Magnolia.

Our plumbers and technicians handle plumbing and HVAC repair, replacement, installation, and maintenance. We also install and service water heaters and indoor air quality systems. Through Magnolia Plumbing, Inc., we provide residential and commercial clients with plumbing, heating, air conditioning, drain cleaning, pumping, site utility, and stormwater management services. Our sewer and drain capabilities have grown to include high-pressure water jetting for lines affected by fats, oils, and grease, along with sewer video inspection equipment. We added stormwater management as local environmental authorities increased enforcement of regulations designed to protect waterways from pollutants carried by heavy rain.

Joseph J. Magnolia, Inc. performs large-scale plumbing, mechanical, and site utility installation work throughout the region. In 2011, we added a prefabrication shop that works with our computer-aided design department, allowing materials to be assembled more efficiently in a controlled environment before being shipped to job sites for installation. We operate from four locations and dispatch approximately 200 service and construction vehicles throughout the Washington and Baltimore metropolitan region. Our main office remains at 600 Gallatin Street NE in Washington, DC, where a separate building and 10,000-square-foot warehouse were added to the property in 1999 to support our growth, inventory, and tool storage.
