M&M Plumbing, Heating and Cooling

We began in Indian River with one truck, two employees, a rented building on Sturgeon Street, and a commitment to serving our local community. After beginning his plumbing and heating career through an apprenticeship in Flint, Dick returned to Indian River with just $600 and a vision for something more. As homeowners and businesses came to rely on us, we welcomed more employees, added equipment and vehicles, expanded our services, and built the lasting relationships that remain at the heart of our work. Our name reflects those family roots: M&M came from the partnership between Dick and his nephew Monte.

Ownership transitioned to Scott in 2007, and Dick remained involved until his passing in 2008. Through that transition and the growth that followed, we continued to emphasize honesty, hard work, and service. In 2020, we moved to our current location at 4385 Tahoe Lane in Indian River. The additional space improved our operations, gave us indoor storage for trucks during the winter, and helped us serve customers more efficiently. Today, we have 25 employees, a fleet of 15 vehicles, and modern systems that support our service and response times.

For more than 65 years, we have served homes and businesses throughout Northern Michigan. Our plumbing, heating, and cooling services range from installing a faucet to installing a Geo-Thermal System, along with routine maintenance and emergency repairs. We repair, install, and maintain heating and cooling systems, address plumbing problems such as leaks, clogs, and broken pipes, and install and service indoor air quality systems. We also install generators to help keep homes running during power outages. Our skilled employees take pride in their work, and we are available for emergency service 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year.
