Kenneth W Lambert Construction

Our roots reflect Kenneth W. Lambert’s lifelong interest in building, problem-solving, and practical innovation. Born in Franklin, West Virginia, in 1942, our founder studied industrial arts and electronics before applying his skills in carpentry, masonry, drafting, HVAC, and large-scale commercial construction for the poultry industry. With his first patent already in hand, Kenneth set out on his own with his wife, Beverley, serving as bookkeeper. Together, they have owned and led K. W. Lambert Construction Company since 1974.

After purchasing family land in Bridgewater, Virginia, we transformed a cornfield and apple orchard known as Vinegar Hill into Fountainhead Subdivision. Our experience includes designing and building more than 300 homes, completing more than 140 geothermal heating and cooling installations, more than 50 solar installations, and 30 radiant-floor installations. We also designed and built the nation’s first geothermal subdivision, consisting of 50 homes. Our residential and commercial construction experience has taken us from the islands of the Bahamas to Maryland, with projects ranging from historic farmhouses and compact townhouses to luxury homes of 10,000 square feet.

We are licensed in Virginia for a broad range of construction work, including building, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, geothermal drilling, and heavy highway, municipal sewer, and water contracting. Geothermal heat pumps, radiant floors, clean air, and energy-efficient construction are particular areas of interest for us. Kenneth is also a Certified GeoExchange Designer through the Association of Energy Engineers in conjunction with the Geothermal Heat Pump Consortium and the International Ground Source Heat Pump Association. His patents, trademarks, and technical developments encompass geothermal installation and design methods, ground-loop systems, drilling devices, refrigerant controls, and grouting equipment. From our Bridgewater home, our mission is to provide regional products and services that help make homes more efficient, comfortable, and sellable, whether we are building a new home or remodeling an existing one in Virginia’s Shenandoah Valley.
