Jay Grimshaw Drilling

We bring more than 60 years of drilling experience to projects across Southern Utah. We hold Utah drilling license UT 204, described as the state’s oldest continuously active drilling license, and we are licensed and insured. Our work includes water well services, geothermal drilling, and geothermal consultation. We remain available to discuss each project throughout its different phases and keep clients informed about progress.

Our water well capabilities range from 4½-inch to 36-inch wells. We work with clients to develop well designs suited to their needs while keeping each well on design and in accordance with Utah state code. We can also help clients understand the steps involved in obtaining a water right and drilling permit, answer questions about the process, and provide consultation as a project moves forward.

Our geothermal work focuses on production opportunities involving heat-bearing properties. We consult on project potential and can help bring together professionals needed to move a production project into its next stages. Our experience in this area spans exploration and production drilling, heat mapping, and power plant design. We are available to discuss geothermal options, whether a client is evaluating an opportunity or preparing to begin production work.
