Jansen Heating & Ac

We got our start on April 6, 1987, when Tom and Cindy Jansen set out to build a heating and air conditioning business of their own. With a card table, a push-button phone, and one van, we began serving customers and laying the foundation for what we are today. Since then, we have grown into a local, family-owned and operated team that supports more than 30 families.

Our roots remain an important part of our work. Our original office in Effingham is now Comfort Academy, a state-of-the-art facility where we train our certified technicians. Our main office was built next door in 2000 and has been transformed three times to accommodate our growth. It also houses geothermal heating and air systems. In 2021, we added an equipment warehouse to help us better meet the needs of our comfort clients.

In 2022, we passed Jansen’s Heating & Air to the next generation. Tom and Cindy’s son, Troy Jansen, now serves as our owner and general manager, overseeing our day-to-day operations. Tom and Cindy remain involved as consultants, sharing the experience and perspective they have gained since our earliest days. We consider our team members part of our family, and each person contributes to our continued story and success.

Since 1987, we have focused on researching, teaching, and providing the latest techniques in comfort. We service all brands and specialize in heating and air conditioning repair and replacement. Over the years, we have been welcomed into thousands of homes across central Illinois. We are proud to serve our customers as local HVAC comfort specialists and to continue building on the work that began with a card table, a push-button phone, and one van.
