James E. Knox & Son Inc.

Our family has served customers in Maryland’s Mid-Shore area since 1954, when James E. Knox founded James E. Knox Plumbing. He built our work around skilled, reliable plumbing installation and service at reasonable prices for local residents and contractors. His son Wally joined him in 1970, and we became James E. Knox & Son Plumbing. Together, they brought their combined experience to a growing customer base.

In 1975, we added heating and air conditioning and incorporated as James E. Knox & Son Plumbing and Heating, Inc. Wally recognized that plumbing and HVAC were compatible trades, a decision that later prepared us well for geothermal systems requiring knowledge of both. Wally’s son Chad joined us in 1994, making ours a third-generation family operation. Our extended sense of family includes our employees, many of whom have stayed with us for 10 years or longer. That continuity helps us remain familiar with our customers’ equipment and ongoing needs.

Plumbing has been our primary focus from the beginning. We handle new plumbing installations, remodeling projects, repairs, and maintenance. We also install, repair, and maintain heating and air-conditioning systems, routinely servicing many types of equipment. For ductwork, we can use fiberglass or sheet metal according to the customer’s preference. Our experience in both plumbing and HVAC also allows us to work on geothermal heating systems and provide one source for the plumbing and heating portions of a project. After an installation, we provide the appropriate documents for the customer’s tax preparer. We are located at 10 Kemp Lane in Easton and hold Maryland Plumbing License 3329 and Maryland HVAC License 4432.
