Jacobs Heating & Air Conditioning, Inc.

Our story began in 1952, when brothers Basil and Lawrence Jacobs brought their sheet-metal fabrication experience from a government blimp factory in Tillamook to Portland. They founded Jacobs Sheet Metal and helped local families modernize their homes with oil and gas furnaces. We later expanded into commercial HVAC before renewing our focus on residential heating and cooling under Basil’s sons, Brent and Greg. Today, Brent serves as our president, and his daughters Amanda and Molly represent the third generation of the Jacobs family on our team.

We provide installation, repair, and maintenance services for residential and commercial heating, cooling, and ventilation systems throughout the greater Portland and Vancouver areas. Our licensed technicians repair all major brands, whether or not we installed the equipment. We also install energy-efficient air conditioners, heat pumps, furnaces, ventilation equipment, smart thermostats, integrated home controls, and other products from brands including Carrier, Daikin, Venmar, Honeywell, Navien, and Heat & Glo. As a Carrier Factory Authorized Dealer, we have ready access to Carrier parts. Our commercial team services rooftop, split, packaged, and other HVAC units, and we also provide professional gas-line installation, alteration, and service for homes and businesses.

More than 100 people now make up our team, including several technicians and installers who have worked with us for decades. We give our people the tools and training they need to listen carefully, explain available options, and help each customer choose an appropriate solution. Whether we are repairing a basic furnace or installing a high-tech hybrid system, we believe every project deserves professional service and close attention to detail. We double-check our work, offer honest and realistic recommendations, and follow a simple policy: do the right thing in every situation. Service, quality, and value have guided us from the beginning, and they remain at the heart of how we serve our community today.
