Jack Lehr Heating Cooling & Electric

We’ve been helping families and businesses across Allentown and the Lehigh Valley with their heating, cooling, and electrical needs for more than 50 years. Our story began in 1973, when World War II veteran and family man Jack Lehr opened his own HVAC operation. His wife, Ruth, handled the books, and their sons later joined them. Jack’s son Ed eventually became president, carrying the family’s commitment to honesty, integrity, and fair pricing into the next generation. Even the Lehr family’s dogs became familiar faces around the office, beginning our long-standing tradition of having an office dog—or two—ready to greet customers.

In 2021, we started a new chapter by becoming 100% employee-owned. Although the Lehr family retired, the values Jack established remain at the heart of how we work. Our employee-owners live, work, and shop in the Lehigh Valley, so the people we serve are also our neighbors. We take personal pride in every project and approach each customer’s home or workplace with the same care we would bring to our own.

Our services include furnace installation, air-conditioning repair, HVAC maintenance, and full electrical service. We help keep homes and workplaces comfortable, safe, and dependable throughout the year. Our connection to the area also inspires us to give back. One of our proudest community partnerships is with Animals in Distress, a local no-kill animal shelter. We support the shelter through donation drives and annual Cutest Dog and Cutest Cat contests, while also providing the HVAC maintenance and repairs that help keep more than 300 resident animals comfortable year-round. After more than five decades, we remain proud of our roots, our employee ownership, and our ongoing commitment to the Lehigh Valley community.
