We are Island Air Conditioning & Heating, a family-owned company serving Alabama’s Gulf Coast. Our business began in 2001, and we provide heating and cooling work for homeowners and commercial properties throughout Orange Beach, Foley, Gulf Shores, and surrounding Baldwin County communities. From our local base, we help customers maintain existing equipment, address breakdowns, and plan complete comfort-system installations.

Our services cover air-conditioning and heating repair, preventive maintenance, system replacement, and new installation. We work with residential and commercial equipment, including central air conditioners, heat pumps, furnaces, packaged systems, ductless systems, and light-commercial units. We also offer indoor-air-quality equipment, thermostat controls, zoning components, and service plans. When a system needs attention, we inspect the equipment and discuss the repair or replacement options appropriate for the property.

Geothermal heating and cooling is part of our work. We install geothermal systems and support WaterFurnace ground-source heat-pump equipment. A ground loop exchanges heat with the earth rather than depending only on outdoor air conditions, providing a different approach to year-round comfort. We can help a homeowner consider geothermal alongside conventional air-conditioning, furnace, heat-pump, packaged, or ductless options and determine which system type fits the building and project.

Our team handles both scheduled care and larger installation projects. Residential work includes repairs, maintenance, and whole-home comfort evaluations, while our commercial experience includes businesses, schools, government buildings, warehouses, restaurants, retail locations, and new developments. We service multiple equipment brands as well as the systems we install. Throughout the process, our focus is on understanding the customer’s heating, cooling, and air-quality needs and carrying the project from evaluation through installation or repair and continued maintenance.
