Hopwoods Heating & Cooling

Our roots in heating and cooling go back to 1986, when our founder, Randy Hopwood, graduated from Ferris State University’s HVAC program and entered the industry. After growing up on a farm with a natural mechanical ability, Randy found his calling in heating and cooling. From then until 1999, he worked for a 33-employee, five-location operation in Traverse City, progressing from installer to service technician, service manager, and eventually manager of the entire operation. In 1999, after gaining the experience he believed was necessary to serve customers properly, he founded Hopwoods Heating & Cooling, Inc.

Today, we are proud to be family-owned and to bring our close-knit values to every job. We specialize in residential heating and cooling installation and service, approaching each installation with careful attention to detail, safety, and efficiency. We believe in doing the work the right way and would rather not do it at all than compromise that standard. We are also an Authorized Michigan Saves Contractor.

When it is time for a new home comfort system, we install high-efficiency furnaces, air-conditioning units, in-floor heating, mini-splits, boilers, water heaters, and unit heaters. We also install Generac generators. For existing equipment, we service most makes and models of furnaces, air-conditioning units, geothermal systems, and mini-splits.

From our location at 5791 Brandt Road in Bear Lake, we are ready to help with your home’s HVAC needs. We also provide 24/7 emergency service to our customers in Manistee County. To reach us, call 231-889-4981.
