HGH Mechanical

We have served residential and light commercial customers in and around the Baltimore metropolitan area for more than three decades. Manuel Gomes, Jr., Philip Hobbs, and James Hobbs, Jr. founded HGH Mechanical, Inc. in 1993 in a small office on Route 40 in Joppa, Maryland. We began with a small fleet, installing and servicing HVAC systems. As we grew, we moved twice into larger offices. Today, we operate from Edgewood, Maryland, with office and warehouse space for light stock and equipment assigned to scheduled jobs.

Our work includes installing residential and light commercial heating, cooling, and indoor air quality systems. We install gas and oil furnaces, air conditioning, boilers, heat pumps, geothermal systems, air cleaners, humidifiers, gas lines, gas fireplaces, venting, and ductwork. We also service all manufacturer brands of furnaces, air conditioners, and boilers. Our services can include comfort and efficiency consulting, zoning, duct systems, humidification, and indoor air quality solutions. Whether a customer is installing an HVAC system for the first time, expanding an existing system, or adding a gas fireplace, we focus on practical, cost-effective options. In 2003 alone, we installed more than 550 gas fireplaces and gas log sets.

Our vision is to be recognized as a leader in residential and light commercial HVAC in and around the Baltimore metropolitan area. We work toward that goal by diagnosing and servicing HVAC equipment promptly and correctly, offering energy-efficient, environmentally safe, state-of-the-art equipment, and supporting the systems we sell with trained technicians. Honesty, trust, and hard work have guided us from the beginning and remain the standards behind our professional reputation. We value the skill and camaraderie of our team, celebrating our growth through outings and team-building events. With more than 800 five-star reviews, we are grateful for the customers who have supported us for over 30 years. We were featured on Baltimore Channel 2. We were also recognized as Baltimore’s Best HVAC for 2021 and 2025.
