Henson Robinson Company

We’ve served Springfield and Central Illinois since 1861, when Henson Robinson founded our organization at age 22. Our earliest work included tin roofs, kettles, and cooking and heating stoves, and we supplied tinware to Union soldiers during the Civil War. Over more than 160 years, we have grown into a leading mechanical and roofing contractor specializing in heating, ventilation, air conditioning, roofing, plumbing, and other systems.

In March 1997, we became employee-owned when our owners sold their stock to our employees. We relocated from Clearlake to our current location at 3550 Great Northern Avenue in April 2004. In 2011, we acquired the assets of Petersburg Plumbing and Heating, a four-generation, family-owned plumbing, heating, and underground utility operation, and formed Petersburg Plumbing & Excavating as a division of Henson Robinson Company. We are also proud to be a founding member of the Geothermal Alliance of Illinois.

Our mission is to provide quality products backed by superior customer service and support. We offer residential and commercial HVAC installation, repair, and maintenance, along with our roofing and plumbing capabilities. As an authorized Carrier dealer, we are trained to identify and recommend HVAC system solutions based on each home and its comfort needs. Although our services and capabilities have evolved through generations, our commitment to customer service has remained central to who we are. We are proud of the reputation for quality service we have built throughout Central Illinois and look forward to continuing to grow.
