Hefty Drilling Inc

We are Hefty Drilling Inc., an owner-operated Alaska drilling company serving residential and commercial customers from the Anchorage area. Our work is grounded in decades of experience with Alaska terrain and climate, and we use equipment and methods suited to local subsurface conditions. We handle water well drilling statewide and stay involved before, during, and after the well is completed.

Our water-well services include new residential and commercial wells, pump installation and replacement, well inspections, video inspections, repairs, maintenance, well cleaning, system-component inspections, pressure-system upgrades, and the proper abandonment of wells that are no longer in use. We also install piling to provide additional support for foundations and decks. Whether we are helping with a new property, an existing well, or a system that has lost pressure or flow, our focus is on understanding the condition of the site and providing practical drilling and water-system work.

We also provide geothermal drilling for ground-source heat pump projects. For these systems, our role centers on creating the boreholes that allow underground loops to exchange heat with the earth. Vertical boreholes can be useful where outdoor space is limited, while the final configuration depends on the property, geology, and system design. Alaska projects require careful attention to local ground conditions, seasonal frost, and site access, and we bring our drilling background to that part of the installation.

We are fully licensed and work directly with property owners on residential and commercial projects. Customers can contact us to discuss the site, the type of drilling or well service needed, and the next practical step. Our goal is straightforward: dependable workmanship and responsive support for wells, pumps, inspections, geothermal boreholes, and related drilling needs across Alaska.
