We have served water well customers across New Hampshire and Maine since 1972. Our president, John Hartley, began drilling wells alongside his father that same year and now has more than 50 years of experience. Together, our seasoned team brings over 100 years of combined experience in well drilling, pump installation, geothermal heating and cooling, and water filtering and softening. From our shop on White Mountain Highway in Chocorua, we serve the Mount Washington Valley, the Lakes Region, the White Mountains, and much of Western Maine.

We specialize in drilling bedrock artesian wells, gravel wells, and geothermal wells. We also provide water well pump repair and service, geothermal heating and cooling, and professional water treatment solutions, including filters and softeners. We are fully licensed in New Hampshire and Maine for these services. For water well systems, we install Goulds pumps along with Franklin Electric motors and controls. Our trucks are fully stocked so that we are prepared to address most needs and unexpected conditions while on site.

Our approach begins with understanding each property and the people who depend on it. We consider whether a project involves new or existing construction, the size of the home and property, and any available details about an existing well, including its depth, flow rate, and standing water level. For geothermal projects, we also discuss whether another heating and cooling method will supplement the system. We explain relevant options—including well types, drilling depths, hydrofracking, pumps and motors, geothermal systems, and water treatment—so our customers have the information needed to make informed decisions. Since our founding, we have focused on careful diagnoses, practical recommendations, and lasting customer relationships.
