We’re a privately owned and operated family business based in Franklin, Indiana. Hamm Well Drilling was founded in 1977 by Avery Hamm and his son, Rick. Before they began working together, Avery spent nearly two decades operating a cable tool rig with Brown Well Drilling, developing practical experience in well construction and maintenance. After Rick completed his schooling, they combined that experience with a shared commitment to hard work, integrity, and quality service. Those values continue to shape how we approach every project today.

We provide water well drilling, pump sales, installation, service, and repair for homes, farms, and businesses. We also drill and install vertical geothermal loops for properties where available space may make a horizontal loop impractical. Our team is licensed for well drilling and pump installation in Indiana, fully insured, and committed to meeting applicable state laws and county requirements. We use rotary drilling rigs, specialized support vehicles, professional-grade tools, and quality materials to develop solutions suited to each site and application. Our process includes evaluating project requirements and site conditions, planning the work, selecting the appropriate equipment, completing the installation, testing system operation and water flow, and restoring the work area to a clean and orderly condition.

Our goal is to provide dependable water well, pump, and geothermal loop solutions with clear communication and experienced workmanship. We work to meet each customer’s water needs while focusing on system reliability, efficiency, safety, and long-term performance. For existing systems, we offer scheduled maintenance, pump servicing, and inspections.
