Gingerich Well & Pump Service

We are a fourth-generation, family-owned well and pump service founded in 1955. Our mission is to explore, develop, protect, and use groundwater as a viable resource. From our beginnings serving the Kalona area, we have grown to become licensed and/or certified in Iowa, Illinois, Missouri, Wisconsin, South Dakota, Nebraska, Utah, and Wyoming. Our qualified staff brings many years of groundwater-industry experience to every project.

We specialize in water well and water system design, construction, repair, and inspection. Our work includes residential wells for drinking water, livestock, irrigation, and other farm applications, as well as commercial, municipal, and subdivision wells. We construct irrigation wells, large-diameter wells, geothermal wells and well fields, and deep anode wells. We also provide test or pilot holes, access holes for mine shafts, abandoned-well plugging, and well inspection and testing. For geothermal applications, we have experience with both open- and closed-loop systems.

Our multiple drilling crews are supported by staff mechanics and a large inventory of repair parts for both older and newer systems. We continually update our fleet so we can respond efficiently to customers’ water needs. Most residential wells are completed in one day, and in southeastern Iowa we strive to restore water for pump-service customers within one day. We also value industry memberships as opportunities for continuing education, technology updates, networking, and training in practices and safety relevant to our work. Whether the need is for a home, farm, irrigation system, commercial property, subdivision, or municipality, we bring broad well-drilling and pump-service experience to the job.
