Geothermal Design

Geothermal heating and cooling is not a sideline for us—it is our entire focus. That dedication has helped us become one of Indiana’s largest geothermal contractors and a leader in the Fort Wayne market. We design, install, and service residential geothermal systems, and we install open-loop, pond-loop, and closed-loop systems for homes and offices. Our goal is to deliver year-round comfort, efficiency, and reliability through careful design and precise installation.

Every project begins with a comprehensive design based on the property’s specific heating and cooling needs. For an existing home, we measure features such as windows, doors, the attic, and the basement while gathering information about insulation and air infiltration. We can also use software to evaluate whether added insulation or reduced air leakage may improve energy efficiency. For a new home, we work from the blueprints to assess the walls, windows, roof, foundation, insulation, and infiltration values. We can then help evaluate insulation options as the home’s energy package is selected.

Air delivery is part of our process as well. Using Manual D ductwork design criteria, we evaluate existing ductwork and recommend or make changes needed to support comfortable, even airflow. In new homes, we use those criteria to design and install a complete air-delivery system for consistent comfort across rooms and levels. Our own trained technicians also install our loops, using longer and deeper loop lengths and a specially designed trench box so the piping can be placed as designed.

Our geothermal-only team brings more than 196 years of combined industry experience. Our qualifications include factory-trained installation and service technicians, an Association of Energy Engineers Certified Geothermal Designer, Manual D duct design certification, Authorized Geothermal Services Contractor status, and IGSHPA-accredited installation and design. We bring that focused experience to every system we design, install, and service.
