Gary's Heating Service Inc.

Gary’s Heating Service began with Gary Hodge, whose compassion, professionalism, and genuine concern for the people he served continue to guide us today. More than 50 years later, Gary remains the heart and soul of our family-owned and operated business. His son Scott now owns Gary’s Heating Service, and all but one of our employees are family members. Now in our third generation, we continue to put customers first and earn their trust by working with integrity, delivering on our promises, and helping them maintain healthy, comfortable homes and workplaces.

We service residential and commercial HVAC equipment from many manufacturers and are familiar with numerous makes and models of furnaces, air conditioners, water heaters, heat pumps, mini-splits, ductless systems, and related equipment. We also install new HVAC systems for existing properties and new construction. Although we work on equipment from a wide range of manufacturers, we sell and install Carrier HVAC equipment. Our geothermal services include sales, installation, preventive maintenance, and repairs for forced-air and split two-stage systems. Emergency and after-hours service is also available, and we make every effort to provide same-day service whenever possible.

Our team is bonded, insured, and backed by extensive hands-on experience. Gary and Scott have pursued HVAC education, certifications, and professional training that include a college degree in HVAC, Michigan licensing for heating and cooling, refrigerant and recovery certification, and certification for Wardflex flexible gas-line installations. We bring that knowledge and our family’s long-standing dedication to customers throughout Portland, Lansing, DeWitt, Ingham County, Eaton County, and many other Michigan communities. Whether you need a repair, routine maintenance, equipment replacement, or a new system installation, you can contact us at 517-647-4955 for your heating and cooling needs.
