Farwest Climate Control Inc.

We’ve been serving the Yakima Valley with heating and air conditioning services since Bob Melton founded Farwest Climate Control in Yakima in 1982. What began as a one-person operation with a single truck has grown into a team with many vehicles on the road. That growth was shaped by Bob’s customer-focused approach and his commitment to treating every project as important. In 2002, we partnered with American Standard to bring its products to our customers. Burt Ross became our owner and operator in 2024, succeeding Bob and carrying Farwest into its next chapter.

Today, we provide residential and commercial HVAC and electrical services for homes and businesses in Yakima and surrounding areas. Our work includes HVAC system replacement, repairs, routine maintenance, thermostat upgrades, additional electrical outlets, and duct modifications. We also help commercial clients with HVAC installation and service tailored to the heating and cooling needs of their spaces. Whatever the project, we focus on understanding each customer’s needs, improving comfort and efficiency, and identifying practical ways to address system problems.

Our team can diagnose HVAC issues, identify system inefficiencies, and explain solutions that fit different needs and budgets. Our experienced Comfort Advisors help customers consider their options and choose an approach that works for them and their families. Whether a system needs a repair, a ductwork change, ongoing maintenance, or full replacement, we aim to provide attentive service at affordable pricing while keeping the customer’s goals and budget in view throughout each project. Financing is also available for repairs.
