We’ve served Dallas–Fort Worth since 2016, when Roy Schar founded Excel Geothermal A/C & Heat with a clear conviction: geothermal is the best way to heat and cool a Texas building, and local customers deserved one team that could do the entire job right. Roy brought more than 25 years of hands-on HVAC experience to Excel, and he continues to personally oversee quality on every project, from system design through commissioning.

We keep well drilling, HVAC installation, ductwork design, spray foam insulation, and ongoing service under one roof. Rather than relying on subcontractors, we own our drilling rigs and spray foam equipment and employ our own crews. Our licensed drillers have completed as much as 22,000 feet of vertical bore on a single project, while our technicians have designed, installed, and commissioned more than 1,000 WaterFurnace and ClimateMaster systems across DFW. Our in-house insulation crews can apply six to twelve inches of spray foam on commercial projects, helping prevent the heating and cooling efficiency we install from being lost through the building envelope.

Keeping each trade on our team gives our customers one point of contact and one crew that understands the complete system. There is no confusion between a separate driller, HVAC contractor, insulation subcontractor, and service provider. After installation, we remain available for seasonal tune-ups, diagnostics, and 24-hour emergency repairs performed by our own NATE-certified technicians. From the underground wells to the indoor equipment and insulation, we take responsibility for the work as one coordinated team.
