Energy Catalyst Technologies

We started Energy Catalyst Technologies in 2019 as a geothermal contractor, giving us firsthand insight into the needs of homeowners, service technicians, and installation professionals. Today, we manufacture high-efficiency geothermal heat pumps in Troy, New York, and provide in-person service and product support in New York and Vermont. We work with residential and commercial geothermal projects, including buildings of up to 50,000 square feet.

Our systems are designed to deliver renewable heating and cooling while adapting to the way a building already distributes heat. Our geothermal heat pumps can integrate with radiators, hot water baseboard, radiant floors, and forced-air systems. The Energy Catalyst Double Hybrid Heat Pump supplies heat through hot water, forced air, or a combination of both. It is designed especially for properties with traditional hot water systems, allowing many owners to reuse existing radiators, baseboards, convectors, and other heat emitters rather than replace them. We also design components with serviceability in mind. High- and low-pressure transmitters allow technicians to view refrigerant pressures on a four-inch touchscreen, while critical parts such as compressors and reversing valves remain accessible for future service. Each heat pump is professionally manufactured through our partnership with one of the nation’s oldest geothermal heat pump manufacturers, thoroughly tested before shipment, and offered with an extendable five-year warranty.

We tailor each geothermal project to the property and its heating and cooling requirements. Homeowners can begin with our online estimator by sharing information about their property, current system, and energy goals. We then schedule a site survey, review system compatibility, develop a customized design, and identify a trusted local installation partner. After agreements are in place, we work with that partner to install the system and complete the final startup together. We also provide maintenance and ongoing support, including inspections, performance testing, and system optimization, to help each system continue operating efficiently.
