Elder Heating and Air

We’re a locally owned and operated HVAC team with deep roots in the Louisville area. Since 1972, we’ve helped homeowners stay comfortable through hot Kentucky summers and cold winters by combining technical expertise with honest, respectful service and clear communication. Our team brings more than 100 years of combined experience, and while we’re a Trane Comfort Specialist, we work with all major brands, including Armstrong, Carrier, Goodman, American Standard, Lennox, York, and Amana.

We handle air conditioning service, heating and cooling repairs, emergency HVAC needs, new system installations, preventive maintenance, indoor air quality solutions, and light commercial HVAC. We’re available 24/7 when heating or cooling problems arise. Rather than stopping at a quick fix, we focus on long-term solutions designed to support energy efficiency, indoor air quality, and dependable home comfort. For homes that may benefit from geothermal heating and cooling, we can help customers explore how a geothermal heat pump moves heat to and from the earth to provide energy-efficient comfort throughout the year.

Indoor air quality is another important part of what we do. Because every home is different, our trained professionals can assess the home before recommending and installing an appropriate filtration system. We also install new ductwork and create tailor-made air ducts in our own in-house sheet metal shop. We proudly serve Louisville, Jeffersontown, Middleton, St. Matthews, Shelbyville, Shepherdsville, La Grange, Taylorsville, Mount Washington, and Fairdale in Kentucky, as well as Clarksville and Jeffersonville in Indiana and surrounding areas. Whether you need help with a breakdown, seasonal furnace preparation, maintenance, installation, ductwork, or cleaner indoor air, we approach the work with precision and care.
