About Ed's Comfort Solutions, Inc.
Our story began in 1967, when former United States Navy officer Richard D. Edwards—known to everyone as “Ed”—opened Ed’s Appliance Repair, Inc. in Yulee. From the beginning, our family’s work was about more than appliances and equipment. We helped people address their heating and cooling problems with a handshake, a promise to do things right, and a commitment to authenticity and integrity. When Ed retired, his son took the reins and carried those values forward. In 1993, we became Ed’s Comfort Solutions, Inc., keeping Ed’s name front and center to honor the standards he established.
For more than half a century, we have served homeowners and businesses throughout Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia. We provide heating, cooling, and indoor air quality services for residential and commercial systems, including air conditioners, heat pumps, ductless mini-splits, heating equipment, thermostats, traditional split systems, and larger packaged units. We service all major brands and offer energy-efficient Trane equipment as a Trane Comfort Specialist. Our trained and certified technicians stay current with HVAC practices and technology while bringing practical knowledge of the coastal humidity, salty air, long summers, and occasional winter cold fronts found in our region.
We still put our customers’ needs first by offering service that is fair, honest, and personal. That means arriving when we say we will, treating each home or workplace with care, communicating clearly, and looking beyond the immediate symptom to understand how the entire system is performing. We listen to your concerns, assess factors such as airflow, thermostat settings, energy use, equipment age, and comfort from room to room, and explain the available options in straightforward language. Whether the right step is a repair, an upgrade, a replacement, or ongoing maintenance, our goal is to help you make an informed choice that fits your property, priorities, and budget. We are proud to continue the approach Ed began and grateful for the relationships we have built with local families and organizations across generations.
