E.J. Thompson & Son LLC

We’re a family-owned and operated HVAC and plumbing team that has served customers since 1949. From our location in Poca, we work with homeowners and small business owners in Charleston, Hurricane, Nitro, Saint Albans, South Charleston, Cross Lanes, and surrounding West Virginia communities. Our goal is straightforward: to improve comfort by providing attentive service and quality work for the systems people rely on every day.

We provide residential and light commercial heating, cooling, ventilation, and plumbing services. Our HVAC work includes repair, replacement, and installation for air conditioners, heat pumps, furnaces, boilers, geothermal systems, and ductless mini-splits. We also install and repair air ducts, work with controls and thermostats, install indoor air quality devices, clean ductwork, and offer emergency HVAC repair. On the plumbing side, we handle repairs and installations, unclog drains, address leaks, and repair, replace, and install both tank and tankless water heaters.

Geothermal service is part of our full range of climate-control work. We repair, replace, and install geothermal systems for homes and offices. These systems use the Earth’s temperature to provide heating rather than creating energy from the outdoor air temperature. Whether the need involves geothermal equipment, a central air conditioner, a furnace, a boiler, or another comfort system, our trained service technicians bring technical knowledge to the job and work to identify an appropriate solution.

We take customer service as seriously as the work itself. When someone calls us with an HVAC or plumbing concern, we evaluate the problem and work to resolve it efficiently. Our technicians can find and fix most HVAC issues in a single visit. After decades of serving the Charleston area, we remain committed to quality workmanship and striving to exceed expectations. We can be reached at (304) 396-6313, and we hold West Virginia license WV005822.
