Design-Air

We are a family-owned and operated HVAC team committed to customer satisfaction in Decatur, Illinois. Founded by John Hall in 1977, we have spent decades repairing, replacing, and maintaining heating and cooling systems of all makes and models for local homes and businesses. Our residential and commercial services include the sales, installation, and servicing of air-conditioning units and furnaces. We also offer after-hours service because heating and cooling problems do not always occur during regular business hours.

We have provided geothermal heating and cooling services for homes since 1985 and have become the largest downstate geothermal dealer in Illinois. Our team specializes in residential electric geothermal system installation, using electrical energy already available in the home to heat the home directly. With more than 35 years of experience installing residential geothermal systems in Decatur, we bring a long history of specialized geothermal work to each installation.

Our current owner, Josh Mower, was born and raised in Decatur and joined Design-Air in 2000. He purchased Design-Air from his longtime mentor, Jim Hall, in 2018 and has provided more than 20 years of service as a loyal and dependable member of our team. We remain family-owned and operated today. As a Carrier Factory Authorized Dealer with NATE-certified technicians, we provide HVAC sales, service, installation, and maintenance for the homeowners and businesses we serve.
