Dean Heating and Cooling, Inc.

We’ve been serving southeast Ohio since 1994, when Ken Dean started Dean Heating and Cooling with a simple goal: to give local homeowners honest, reliable heating and cooling service they could count on. Jared joined Ken not long after the doors opened, and they worked side by side for years. In 2011, Ken, Karen, Jared, and Marjorita became co-owners, strengthening the family roots that have shaped how we work. When Ken and Karen retired in 2022, they passed the reins to Jared and Marjorita, who continue to lead our local, family-owned team today.

For more than 30 years, we’ve built our reputation one honest job at a time. We live and work in this part of Ohio, so we understand its homes, weather, and communities. We install and repair furnaces, air conditioners, and heat pumps, and we specialize in geothermal systems, tankless water heaters, and generator installation and service. Whether we’re completing a repair or replacing a full system, we give the work the same care and attention we would want in our own homes. From the first call through final startup, we explain each step and keep the process straightforward and transparent.

For geothermal projects, we handle site evaluation, loop-type selection, ground-loop installation, and indoor heat-pump setup. We assess lot size and soil to determine whether a vertical bore or horizontal trench loop suits the property. In most retrofits, the indoor heat pump replaces the existing furnace and connects to the current ductwork. We also service geothermal systems regardless of who originally installed them, checking fluid or refrigerant levels, filters, heat-pump operation, indoor components, ground-loop integrity, and heat transfer. We serve Athens, Logan, Albany, Glouster, Welston, Coolville, McArthur, Pomeroy, Guysville, The Plains, Jackson, Nelsonville, and surrounding areas. Our office is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and we take emergency calls 24/7.
