CS Myers & Son Inc

Our roots in the State College community stretch back more than 80 years. Charles S. Myers grew up in State College and began selling gasoline at his family’s retail service station in the 1930s. During the 1930s, ’40s and ’50s, he also supplied coal and wood to local families. He founded C.S. Myers Oil Company in 1946, providing heating oil and kerosene while installing and servicing oil-fired furnaces and boilers throughout the Centre Region.

Charles’s son, Gary E. Myers, began helping his father in 1962. After attending Penn State, Gary purchased C.S. Myers in 1976, and we became C.S. Myers & Son, Inc. in 1980. Our services expanded into heating, ventilation and air conditioning after Gary acquired Frazier Heating & Air Conditioning in 1985. Jehu Oil Company joined us the following year, followed by Altoona Gas & Oil in January 2007. Gary’s eldest son, David Myers, started working with us full time in 1993 while studying Business Administration at Penn State University. After gaining experience throughout our operations, beginning as a service technician’s assistant in his early teens, David became our president in 2017.

Today, we continue serving Central Pennsylvania with heating oil, kerosene and other petroleum products, including automatic fuel delivery and budget-plan options. We also sell and install oil- and gas-fired heating systems, air conditioners, heat pumps and geothermal systems. Our work includes system design, air-duct cleaning and other heating and cooling services for residential and light commercial properties. We understand that a heating and cooling system is central to indoor comfort, so we work with each customer to select an appropriate option and emphasize proper sizing, design and installation. From our State College location, we remain focused on dependable fuel service and practical heating, cooling and indoor-environment solutions.
