Converse Conditioned Air

We are a family-owned and operated heating and cooling team serving Ames, Story County, and Central Iowa. Founded by Ames native Matt Converse in 1999, we remain proud to be part of the Ames community. As we grew, we moved several times before settling at 3116 South Duff Avenue in 2013. Our current location gives us more room for shop production and provides customers with a more accessible place to reach us.

Our work includes heating, cooling, ventilation, and indoor air quality services. We repair, maintain, and install furnaces, air conditioners, and ductless systems, and we service all makes and models of central heating, cooling, and ductless equipment. We also install ductwork for additions and remodeling projects, along with forced-air furnaces paired with air-conditioning condensing units, boilers, water heaters, heat pumps, geothermal systems, and replacement thermostats. For commercial customers, our experience includes projects large and small for schools, churches, restaurants, medical facilities, agricultural operations, industrial properties, and other applications.

We are proud to install Trane equipment and have achieved Trane Comfort Specialist status. Our sales staff helps customers select an HVAC system suited to their needs, while our estimating and project-management staff works together on commercial installations. We provide maintenance and repair for all brands of heating and cooling equipment. Someone from our team is available to help 24 hours a day, seven days a week when heating or cooling problems arise.

We continue to provide our staff with educational opportunities that strengthen their trade knowledge, and we encourage employee involvement in the community. As members of the Ames Chamber of Commerce, we value our local ties and work to provide quality products, service, and installation with as little disruption to our customers as possible.
