Chevalier Drilling Inc

Since 1954, our family has helped meet the water needs of customers in Vermont and upper New York State. We have built our reputation on honesty, quality work, and personal service. Each member of the Chevalier family oversees an aspect of our day-to-day operations, giving our customers a direct relationship with us. Our crews are polite, courteous, and hardworking, and we value the reputation they carry to every job.

We provide complete drilling and well-maintenance services for residential, commercial, and agricultural needs. Our work includes wells, pumps and systems, water conditioning, well rehabilitation, hydrofracturing, and down-the-hole camera services. We also install residential and commercial geothermal systems using standing-column and closed-loop wells. This work is completed by our certified drillers and pumping installers.

When a well does not produce enough water, we may recommend hydrofracturing for a new or existing well. This process injects water into the borehole at high pressure to fracture nearby rock formations or enlarge existing openings, allowing previously untapped water to flow into the well. We also use down-the-hole camera technology to investigate concerns such as caving rock, dirty water veins, or unconsolidated sediment. With camera capabilities reaching depths of up to 600 feet, we can identify the location and nature of a problem before determining appropriate corrective steps.

We serve Addison, Chittenden, Franklin, Grand Isle, Lamoille, Orange, Orleans, and Washington counties in Vermont, as well as Clinton, Essex, Franklin, and St. Lawrence counties in New York. Beginning May 12, 2025, our office is located at 165 Middle Road in Swanton. For us, satisfied customers remain our most important asset, and we encourage anyone considering our services to speak with people who have worked with us.
