Chesapeake Geosystems

At Chesapeake Geosystems, we bring more than 30 years of geothermal installation experience to projects throughout much of the East Coast and beyond. Based in Baltimore, Maryland, we provide full-service geothermal contracting and manage the ground-side work from drilling and excavation through loop installation, grouting, and lateral piping. By coordinating these essential parts of a project, we help clients avoid the complications that can arise when multiple vendors and schedules must be managed separately.

Our people, equipment, and project oversight are central to how we work. Our superintendents and drillers have been with us for an average of 10 years, and many members of our team have more than 20 years with us. We assign each client an onsite team led by a superintendent who remains involved from start to finish, providing a direct point of communication and helping address issues as they arise. We conduct system testing throughout construction and installation, and our own fleet of drill rigs and excavation equipment enables us to support multiple projects at the same time. We are licensed to drill across the East Coast and continue to expand our reach.

We work with commercial properties, government agencies, educational institutions, general contractors, and private developers pursuing geothermal heating and cooling projects. Our past work includes large-scale geothermal system installations for educational institutions and government buildings. We also install, service, and upgrade geothermal systems for commercial buildings. From leadership to field operations, we draw on decades of industry knowledge to carry out each project in line with the client’s specific green-energy goals. Our approach uses geothermal technology to harness the earth’s consistent underground temperature as a source of heating and cooling, supporting clients seeking practical, energy-efficient systems and cleaner energy solutions.
