Chelsea Heating & Air

We are a family-owned and operated heating and air conditioning team based at 946 Lake Road, Suite 100, in Avondale, Pennsylvania. Since 1972, we have served homeowners, builders, contractors, and commercial clients in Avondale, the surrounding communities, and across the tri-state area. Our team includes experienced mechanics, installers, service engineers, project managers, and customer service professionals with knowledge of a wide range of heating and cooling technologies. From custom new-construction homes to equipment replacements and repairs, we bring the people and experience needed to manage projects of many sizes.

Geothermal heating and cooling has been an important part of our work since 1978. We design, install, and maintain geothermal systems for homes and businesses, with completed projects spanning from Philadelphia to the Eastern Shore. To date, we have installed more than 2,500 geothermal units throughout the region. These systems use the earth’s relatively constant temperature to help provide heating, cooling, and hot water while using electricity to move heat rather than produce it.

We install closed-loop geothermal systems that circulate water or an antifreeze solution through a continuous loop of specialized underground plastic pipe. Connected to an indoor heat pump, this sealed loop acts as a heat exchanger and recirculates the same heat-transfer solution instead of consuming water from a well. This approach can provide year-round indoor comfort while reducing energy use compared with traditional systems, although actual savings depend on the system being replaced and the individual property. Whether a customer needs conventional HVAC service or is considering geothermal technology, we are ready to discuss the building, its comfort needs, and the available options.
