Castleman Well Drilling & Pump Service

We are a family-owned and operated drilling business with roots in Middle Tennessee reaching back to the early 1900s. In 1900, our first-generation driller, H.L. Castleman, was operating a drill at 28 years old. Our family tradition continued through the generations to Jeff Castleman, who had already spent more than 35 years helping his father before taking over operations. In 2004, Jeff’s son, Jamie Castleman, joined him full time as our fourth-generation driller and became a partner by the end of 2009. Our fourth-generation driller, Jamie, is licensed.

We provide complete well drilling and pump services, including system design, well drilling, pump installation and repair, correctly sized pipe and wire installation, trenching for plumbing and electrical connections, and final system wiring. We are state licensed and fully insured, and our experienced technicians can manage drilling and service needs from the initial design through completion. When our office is closed, our calls are forwarded directly to Jeff or Jamie Castleman, making us reachable 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

We also specialize in geothermal drilling and loop-field design. We can drill geothermal boreholes, install loops, grout boreholes with thermally enhanced grout, excavate and trench for piping, complete headers and butt and socket fusion, add antifreeze, and purge the unit. We perform this work ourselves without hiring subcontractors. Our Geothermal Division operates under Tennessee license number 897, and we are an IGSHPA Geothermal Accredited Installer, ID number 18540-1108.
