C&J Well Co. Service, Pumps, & Drilling

For more than 30 years, we have served Central Indiana with water well, pump, water treatment, and city water connection needs. Our story began when Josh Abdnour, then working for Water Wells by Wilhite, had the opportunity to purchase the operation and its 1966 drill rig. After careful thought and prayer, Josh and his wife, Christy, accepted the Wilhites’ offer and formed C&J Well Co. We remain deeply grateful to the Wilhites for that opportunity and to the loyal employees who have helped us grow.

Today, we handle water well drilling and a broad range of well services, including preventive maintenance, excavation, pump service, complete pumping-system installation from the well to the pressure tank, and in-house trenching. We also connect properties to city water using horizontal boring technology and provide water softening and treatment through C and J Water. Our team specializes in geothermal systems and drilling. Across four locations, more than 80 employees work with equipment that includes Versadrill rotary-drill rigs and a bucket-well drill rig.

When a well or pump problem interrupts a property’s water supply, we prioritize no-water situations and work to respond promptly. Our teams service wells of many types and sizes, perform routine maintenance, and can remove submersible pumps and air-lift accumulated sediment from accessible wells to help redevelop the screen and improve water flow and quality. We also install variable-frequency pumping systems designed to maintain constant pressure by adjusting pump speed to demand. Our 24-hour answering service allows customers to reach us outside normal business hours.

We are proud to continue the legacies of Water Wells by Wilhite, Dean Well Drilling, Harness Well Company, Scobee Well Drilling, and Wallace Well Drilling. Beyond our daily work, we support Faith Children’s Village in Zambia and Filter of Hope in their efforts to provide loving homes, literacy, clean water, and Christian ministry to people in need. In everything we do, we aim to serve professionally, ethically, promptly, and with genuine care.
