Boyers Heating & Air

We have served the Shenandoah Valley and surrounding areas since Sam Boyers founded R.S. Boyers Heating and Air Conditioning, Inc. in the spring of 1976. We began with a three-person team in downtown Waynesboro, focusing on conventional forced-air heating and cooling. Sam’s dedication to customers’ needs led to sustained growth, and in 1986 we moved to a 12,000-square-foot facility in Lyndhurst Industrial Park at the foothills of Afton Mountain, where we remain today.

Over the years, we have grown to a staff of more than 40 people, including installers, technicians, project managers and supervisors, service and dispatch personnel, office staff, and our sheet metal fabrication shop crew. We became a Factory Authorized Carrier dealer in 2007, and our NATE-certified technicians and installers contribute to a history that includes more than 11,000 system installations since 1976. In 2016, Bill Ruggles took ownership following Sam’s retirement. With more than 15 years of HVAC and plumbing experience, Bill and our staff remain focused on dependable, ethical, and timely service shaped around each customer’s needs.

Today, we provide heating, cooling, and plumbing solutions for homes and businesses. Our capabilities include conventional forced-air systems, geothermal heat pumps and loops, high-velocity ducted systems, ductless heat pumps and air conditioners, solar hot water systems, hot water boilers, in-floor radiant systems, and indoor air quality and purification systems. We size, design, and install systems for each customer’s individual needs, and we also maintain and repair residential and light-to-moderate commercial equipment. Our processes are designed to put customers first and to reward work done well rather than work done quickly.

We offer service 24 hours a day, seven days a week, along with planned preventive maintenance agreements. From our Lyndhurst location, our goal is to bring thoughtful system design, skilled installation, and responsive service to every heating, cooling, plumbing, and indoor air quality need we undertake.
