Our roots in Boonville go back to 1946, when Olive Lewellyn and her husband, Lawrence Young, took over Boonville Natural Gas Corporation. After Lawrence passed away unexpectedly a few years later, Olive raised two young children while running the operation herself—a remarkable role for a woman in the natural gas and heating industries at that time. We initially focused on heating, helping households replace dusty coal-burning systems with Bryant cast-iron conversion burners that used cleaner-burning natural gas. As customers’ needs changed, we expanded into water heaters, air conditioners, household appliances, water softeners, generators, and other products.

BNG has remained a family endeavor through the generations. Olive’s youngest son, John Lewellyn, began helping here in 1968, during the summer after sixth grade. He joined us full time in 1978 after graduating from Purdue University with a degree in Industrial Management. John worked alongside his mother until her passing in 2006 at age 95. Olive’s commitment to excellent customer service shaped us from the beginning and continues to guide us today. John now manages BNG Heating & Cooling with his wife, Lynnette, and their son, Paul. Although our name has changed over the years, we remain family-owned and operated.

Today, we provide heating and air-conditioning services for homes and businesses, including furnace and air-conditioner repair, maintenance, professional cleaning, precision tune-ups, full-system replacements, new installations, emergency service, and preseason cleaning. As a Bryant Factory Authorized Dealer, we install Bryant heating and cooling systems using current, proven technology. Our licensed and certified technicians include professionals tested and certified through North American Technician Excellence, and our residential maintenance work follows Energy Star recommendations and national standards.

We are proud to serve customers in Boonville, Chandler, Rockport, Santa Claus, and Evansville. Whether we are maintaining an existing system or helping with a replacement, our goal is to provide safe, dependable service with honesty, respect, integrity, and attentive customer support.
