Argent

Our roots date to 1988, when Nicolas Argenziano established Argent Contracting Company, Inc. In July 2007, Argent Contracting Company, Inc. merged with Leo Hecht, Inc. to form Hecht-Argent LLC. Leo Hecht, Inc. has provided plumbing and drain-cleaning services in Northern New Jersey for more than 55 years. Today, we remain family-owned and operated, providing residential and commercial plumbing, heating, air conditioning, mechanical, and drain-cleaning services. Based at 16 Watchung Avenue in Chatham, we serve customers across Morris, Essex, and Union Counties, with heating services also available in Somerset County. We are fully insured and licensed as a New Jersey plumbing provider, and we are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week for service needs.

We handle standard plumbing repairs as well as the installation and service of steam and water boilers of any size. Our drain-cleaning capabilities include electric snaking, hydro jetting, video inspections, and lining for deteriorated or damaged sewer lines. We also support renovations and new construction, including the design of heating systems for new homes. From furnaces and baseboards to heat pumps and older steam boiler systems, our technicians install, maintain, and repair a wide range of heating equipment. We help customers consider systems suited to their spaces, energy costs, environmental goals, and maintenance preferences.

Our service trucks are fully stocked to address most service needs, and our 3,500-square-foot warehouse maintains an inventory that includes water heaters, boilers, and pumps. This combination helps us provide practical around-the-clock support. Our computerized office can receive service requests at any time and produces clear work orders and invoices, while allowing us to access records quickly when customers have questions. Across every project, we focus on quality, dependable service, reasonable rates, and a high standard of customer care.
