American Heating & Cooling

Since 1988, we’ve helped homeowners in Monroe, Dundee, Bedford, and surrounding areas care for their heating, cooling, and indoor air quality systems. As a locally owned, licensed, and insured HVAC team, we bring decades of service experience to every visit. Owners Marisa and Josh Mahon believe in treating customers with integrity, providing quality workmanship, and taking pride in every job—whether the request is large or small.

Our services include air-conditioning repair and installation, furnace repair and replacement, boiler service and repair, heat-pump maintenance and repair, water-heater repair and installation, air purification, indoor air quality testing, whole-house humidifiers, and combustion analysis. We also help homeowners explore heat-pump conversions when they are considering a more efficient alternative to a traditional air-conditioning system. Because heating and cooling needs vary from one home to another, we take the time to understand the property, the equipment, and the problem before making recommendations. We service a broad range of HVAC equipment brands and can continue maintaining the systems we install.

When we arrive at your home, we introduce ourselves and carefully investigate the issue at hand. A thorough diagnosis helps us identify an appropriate repair or replacement option without rushing to conclusions. Whether your air conditioner is struggling to keep your home comfortable, your furnace needs attention, or an older boiler system requires specialized service, we’re ready to offer an experienced opinion. Our goal is to make caring for your home’s comfort systems straightforward, with attentive service and clear recommendations from a team that values the people we serve.
