Albany Ac & Heating CO Inc

At Albany Air Conditioning and Heating Company, Inc., we have served Albany and Southwest Georgia since 1949. Edward C. Newsome founded Albany Air after leaving Mingledorff’s, opening a small, family-run operation on Roosevelt Avenue with the support of his wife, Wildred Newsome. Together, they established our enduring values of integrity, hard work, personal relationships, and quality workmanship. As demand grew, we moved first to Broad Avenue and then, in 1973, to our long-term home on West Gordon Avenue.

Our family tradition continued when Edward C. Newsome Jr. returned from college in May 1977 to work alongside his father. Ed Jr. purchased Albany Air in 1990 and guided us through decades of growth. Edward “Clint” Newsome III joined us in 2008 as vice president, overseeing project management and operations. He became president in 2016 and purchased Albany Air in 2021. Today, we remain family-owned, employ more than 100 people, and are proud to be Albany’s oldest air conditioning and heating contractor and one of Georgia’s longest-standing Carrier dealers.

We provide residential and commercial heating and cooling services throughout Albany and Southwest Georgia, including system installation, replacement, repair, maintenance, and indoor air quality solutions. As a Carrier Factory Authorized Dealer, we install and service Carrier systems, and our factory-trained, NATE-certified technicians evaluate each home or facility for appropriate system sizing, efficiency, and long-term performance. We hire local professionals and work with trusted local suppliers as we strive to offer competitive pricing without sacrificing quality. From our home at 2500 W Gordon Ave in Albany, we continue to put customers first, participate in our community, and support ongoing education for our leadership and technicians.
